What is going to Take place To Newspapers

Am I the one person focused on the future of newspapers? Many newspapers have folded recently because of lack of advertising and readership. I don't must look farther than my family to discover this trend. None of my three children sign up for a newspaper. The obtain their news from television. The applies their friends who either make use of the TV or cellphones or other electronics to get the news.
The first place to discover the health with the print marketplace is their funding. Papers get almost all of their money from advertisers. Since 2003 the quantity of dollars received from advertising continues to be cut in two. On the other hand, the funds spent on on-line ads has tripled. So funding for newspapers is rapidly drying up.
A few years ago, I supplemented my retirement income by selling newspaper subscriptions to shoppers in shops. The most common objection I heard was "I get my news on TV". This is sad because television news is only able to spend a second or so on each story. TV choose to spend at the very least 10% of an news show on giving us the next wind storm. The worst part relating to this is that for those their scientific explanations of what is going to take place and why, they can be frequently wrong.
I just desire to start the afternoon reading a nearby paper. My morning is just not complete without coffee as well as the newspaper. I read it from tailgate to cab. I love the design of it during my hands (the same applies to books versus electronic products).
Stories are covered complete. I don't have a very talking head telling me exactly what a TV station thinks is very important. The newspaper gives me the complete story. I can decide what is essential and what will not be. Guess what else the newspaper has? No interference from commercials. The ads will there be for me to read or otherwise not read. And, because election season, I don't use a lying politician giving me misinformation every 10-20 minutes.
In addition to reporters, newspapers have columnists. These writers provide us with food for thought, covering ideas and events within a unique way.
What it all depends upon is talking and listening versus writing and reading. It takes more talent to publish than it does to talk. And more thought has got to go into the written word.
It is sad for me to determine the handwriting for the wall. Newspapers will ultimately disappear and turn victims of technology. I hope I am wrong about it, read more even so the trend is ending newsprint. I just hope this doesn't happen happen within my lifetime.
